Soon after viewing the Smithsonian Museum of African Art's authentic African art, I began creating my own pieces.
Montana is a reflection of this visit and is uniquely mounted on a painted canvas measuring 6"x 8”x 2", weighing 1.6lbs. Her face is composed of hand coiled wire, raku beads, textured fabric in green and brown, and multi color beads. Montana has a striking speckle copper brown complexion.
