My inspiration for creating art began on a visit to the Smithsonian Museum of African Art. I was deeply moved by the authentic pieces and eventually crafted Yao in response.
Yao is 5”x 8” and weighs 7ozs, and his marvelous brown complexion is enhanced with a head full of handmade Raku coils and over 80ft of twisted 16 and 24 gauge wire.
