Wadi is one of a new 2023 series of tribal masks that are mounted on wood. I started making art soon after seeing authentic African artwork at the Smithsonian Museum of African Art. I was in total awe.
Wadi is 6” x 7 x 1 and weighs 1.13 lbs. He has a contagious smile. Wadi face is white washed brown. 12 handmade raku fired beads Over 60 feet of 16 and 24 gauge twisted wire for hair! Over two weeks to complete! Wadi is ready to be mounted inside or outdoors! Handcrafted with passion and precision, Wadi is so much more than a decor item. He is a piece of art that has been crafted with care and a labor of love. Each bead is fired in a raku kiln and wired by hand. Wadi is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, so he can be proudly displayed anywhere.
