Seeing African art at the Smithsonian Museum of African Art propelled me to create artwork. Sergio was my first piece influenced by the visit - an 8"x 10" canvas-mounted sculpture with around 40 feet of 16 gauge wire, over 30 raku beads, a white crackle face, ruby red lips and a weight of 2.10 lbs.
