Urbi is part of a new 2023 series of tribal masks, expertly mounted on wood. My creative expression was sparked by authentic African artwork at the Smithsonian Museum of African Art--I was deeply moved.
Urbi measures 5” x 8 x 1, with a weight of 1.13 lbs. Her face is distinctive with its speckled look, while her hair is artfully crafted with over 60 feet of 16 and 24 gauge twisted wire. Taking over two weeks to complete,
