I started making art soon after seeing authentic African artwork at the Smithsonian Museum of African Art. I was in total awe. Mariko was inspired by my visit there.
Mariko is mounted on a 4"x 6" painted canvas. I spent about 1 hours or more just fixing Mariko's hair and attaching beads!
- Mariko has over 20 coiled feet of 16 gauge wire for hair and over 5 raku and wooden beads.
- Mariko has an awesome honey brown copper crackle face and lips.
